Description
Forest landscape plans are required to achieve five objectives:
- Supporting the production and supply of timber in the forest landscape area;
- Supporting the protection and conservation of the environment;
- Managing the values placed on forest ecosystems by Indigenous peoples;
- Managing the values placed on forest ecosystems by local communities;
- Preventing, mitigating, and adapting to impacts caused by significant disturbances to forest health, including wildfire, insects, disease, and drought
The purpose of this request for proposal is to aid in the public outreach in relation the Sunshine Coast FLP pilot. The successful candidate will be able to provide expert knowledge in public engagement and outreach to ensure the FLP developers have the information required to adequately manage the values local communities place on forest ecosystems.
