BC Housing is seeking a Proponent to provide Architectural Services to advance the Project from Development Permit/ Schematic design stage to completion / occupancy handover stage.
The following principles will guide the development of design process to allow the opportunity for replicability, standardization, limited on site customization, cost effectiveness, speed of manufacturing, and logistical ease to deliver housing:
- A fully Modular model as the method of construction for the entire building; or
- A hybrid model with site-built construction only on the ground floor and prefabricated modular for the upper floors.
- Energy Efficiency & Sustainability – ensuring that the building meets the BCH’s energy and sustainability targets.
- All design will conform with the latest BCH Design Guidelines and Construction Standards and recent Technical Bulletins and applicable codes and by-laws.
