REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS
SPECIFICATIONS OF GOODS
The Contractor, to the satisfaction of the City, shall furnish all necessary labour, materials, supplies, and transportation necessary for the supply and delivery of pumps to North Bluff Pump Station ( the “Goods”) and any additional work reasonably required to be done for the fulfillment and completion of this Agreement.
The North Bluff Pump Station (see Schedule A-2 – Pump Station Drawings for reference only) operates on a shared forcemain with the Semiahmoo Pump Station. When the stations are operating independently, the pump station should operate at lower head and higher capacities. In the event that the stations are operating at the same time, a higher operating head and lower capacities may be required. The current pumps being used are 128 hp Fairbanks Morse solids handling submersible pump (5-DJJ436 MT).
Pumps should meet the requirements specified below:
• Pumps should operate over the range of the following system curves, and pump curves and pump efficiencies:
ADDENDA
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form a part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.

• Pumps should operate over the range of the following system curves, and pump curves and pump efficiencies:
- These best-fit curves are based on data from hydraulic modelling;
- Upper blue line is the system curve with Semiahmoo Pump Station turned on (Static Head: 58m, TDH: 74m Flow: 340L/s);
- Lower orange line is the system curve with Semiahmoo Pump Station turned off (Static Head: 50m, TDH: 64m Flow: 340L/s).
- The pumps should have a target operating discharge of 150 l/s on the lower head system curve
- The submission shall include pump curves for one, two, and three pumps operating simultaneously.
- Height of the pumps shall be at maximum 1,725 mm (68”).
- Discharge outlet to be 150mm (6”). Pumps to utilize existing slide rail system and discharge head if possible.
- Existing flange - standard ANSI 150 (see Schedule A-1 - Slide Plate Photos).
- Installation type to be removable, semi-permanent, wet well arrangement with coupling or flange for connection to the discharge pipeline.
- Station power supply is 3 Phase 600V 600 A. Current starters are Allan Bradley.
- Assume 25 m long cables (to be confirmed prior to order).
- Contractor to perform review of all components prior to sending the Goods to the City.
