Description
The City of Abbotsford invites tenders for Matsqui Dike Sinkhole - Full Repair.  The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:
  • Excavation shoring of approximately 22 lineal m of excavation via micro piles and shotcrete;
  • Installation of an Owner Supplied temporary access bridge across shored excavation;
  • Removal of approximately 130 m2 of asphalt;
  • Excavation and disposal of approximately 1000 m3 of material;
  • Import and installation of approximately 970 m3 of dike fill;
  • Import and installation of 130 m2 of base course and asphalt; and
  • Bridge removals and site restoration.

There will be a non-mandatory site meeting on September 14, 2022 at 9:30 am.  The meeting will commence at the parking lot near the JAMES WWTP gate at the north end of Gladwin Road, and proceed to the project site from there.

This tender will only open 10 days for competition as per Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), Article 19.10 – Time Periods:
“4. A procuring entity may reduce the time-period for tendering established in accordance with paragraph 3 to not less than 10 days if: a. a state of urgency duly substantiated by the procuring entity renders the time-period for tendering established in accordance with paragraph 3 impracticable.”
