Description
Island Health has recently approved and adopted an organizational Harm Reduction - Substance Use Policy that will anchor a culture shift within all Island Health service delivery locations. The aim of the policy is to reduce the stigma associated with substance use and ensure safer care for people who use drugs throughout our system. This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is seeking proposals from agencies or individuals that can conduct a series of experiential learning sessions open to Island Health staff that work in various locations within the Health Service Delivery Areas (“HSDA”), including urban and rural/remote communities.
The successful Proponent(s) will be expected to provide a training curriculum and approach that is aligned with Island Health’s Harm Reduction - Substance Use Policy, with training delivered in cohorts or sessions to a range of Island Health staff disciplines working in a variety of care settings.
