Description
The City of Kelowna requires an Aerated Static Pile Composting System that shall receive municipal yard waste and produce 143 tonnes/day of Class ‘A” primary compost according to Environment Management Act and Public Health Act, Organic Matter Recycling Regulation for BC and conforms to Schedule 1, Schedule 2, Schedule 3 and Section 3 of Schedule 4 as per the regulation. The City has a contract in place with Engineered Compost Systems for the supply of the Aerated Static Pile (ASP) Composting equipment including all auxiliary components, controls, and biofilter odour control system. The delivery of equipment to the Glenmore Landfill will take place of 2022 and early 2023. The City is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to implement the scope of installing the ASP and related works as shown on the contract drawings. Upon award, a novation agreement will be implemented between the successful proponent, Engineered Compost Solutions and the City for transferring equipment to be installed within this contract to the successful proponent.
