Notice is hereby given that Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”) on behalf itself and as an agent for each of, Fraser Health Authority, Interior Health Authority, Northern Health Authority, Vancouver Coastal Health Authority And Vancouver Island Health Authority (the “Health Authority(s)”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide Pluer-Evac product line of Chest Drainage Traditional Devices for a term of eighteen (18) months till August 31, 2024 with no option to extend, at an estimated value of CAD $1,463,746 not including tax.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA, on its own behalf and as an agent for the Health Authority has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
- Due to an absence of competition for technical reasons.
These are the only clinically acceptable products on the market at this time in use across all Provincial Heath Authorities. To ensure the continued supply of these essential products with stable pricing, we will extend the above non-volume committed contract until PHSA completes an upcoming competitive process for future contracts.
Suppliers who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Doug Warren, PHSA Procurement, Buyer by email to doug.warren@phsa.ca before 12:00pm Pacific Time, April 22, 2023. PHSA will review all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
