Description
This is an “As and When” Forest Service Road maintenance contract. The hours listed in the contract are estimations. The Ministry does not guarantee that the hours listed will be required.
During the term of the contract, the contractor shall complete maintenance works communicated by the District Engineering Officer. Timing and completion of works shall be coordinated with the contractor.
The scope of works is limited to Forest Service Roads on Graham Island and includes:
- Queen Charlotte Mainline 0-7km (South)
- Honna FSR (4km)
- Stanley FSR (2km)
- Sleeping Beauty FSR (6km)
- Other local Honna spur roads (3km)
- Rennell Road (16km)
- Yakoun Lake Road (2km)
The contractor, shall carry out as and when Forest Service Road maintenance works as identified by the District Engineering Officer. Works include, but are not limited to:

- Road Grading
- Road ditching and slump/slide removals
- Spot surfacing
- Dust control product application
- Minor culvert repairs and replacements
- Bridge repairs such as rail repairs and replacements
- Road and bridge sign installations and replacements

Sealed tenders for Graham Island FSR Maintenance Project will be received by the Ministry of Forests (the “Ministry”), Haida Gwaii Natural Resource District, 1229 Oceanview Dr, PO Box 39 Daajing Giids (Queen Charlotte), British Columbia, V0T 1S0, no later than May 9, 2023 @ 3:00:00 PM, local time, at which time all tenders will be opened in public.

The estimated contract period will be 10 month(s).
