    Description
The British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced Project Archaeologist professionals to provide archeology services in support of the Surrey Langley Skytrain Extension (the “Project”) and ancillary SkyTrain components during the final design and construction stages of the Project. Pre-construction works have been completed including an Archaeology Overview Assessment (AOA) of the entire transportation corridor as well as focused Environmental Screening Review (ESR) of Archeological Resources. Several pre-Construction Archaeology Impact Assessments (AIAs) have been conducted within accessible areas of the Reference Concept Design (RCD) footprint.

It is anticipated that the work will commence in July 2023 and services will be provided on an “as and when needed” basis. Project construction is estimated to last for up to five (5) years, however, ground disturbance activities are expected to be completed by mid-2027. The anticipated contract term is for five years commencing from the date of award. At the discretion of the Province and subject to available appropriation and satisfactory performance, there is an option-to-renew the term of this agreement twice, for one additional year each.
