Description
- Support Forest Science, Policy and Practices Branch (FSPPB) staff with providing services in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), mapping data and spatial analysis, Ministry systems queries and linkages, analysis of opportunities for silviculture investments;
- Provide provincial annual and ad-hoc reporting from various databases that track investments;
- Support FSPPB) in implementing the Silvacom Forest Management System (FMS), a geospatial cloud-based forest management application, by providing assistance in training, uploading data via Silviculture Import/Export Tool, development of layers and map templates;
- Develop dynamic spatial and aspatial reports using MS PowerBI from FMS O-data feed and linkages to tables within the BC Geographic Warehouse (BCGW); and
- Provide support in managing internal MS Access databases and reports and other related duties.
The work may require an ArcGIS Desktop Advanced license level and MS Power BI Premium capacity licence level and the Contractor is therefore expected to have said licenses.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 12 month(s).
