    Description
The District of Lillooet (District) invites planning and engineering consulting firms to submit a proposal to produce a construction timeline and series of grant application ready documents for the upgrade of municipal infrastructure, if required, and reconstruction of the portion of Main Street, Lillooet, between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue. The maximum budget for this proposal, including expenses and contingency, is $125,000 (including PST, but not including GST) and will require reporting as required by the grant issuer.

The District of Lillooet’s OCP was adopted in 2021. As part of the implementation of the Official Community Plan, and Council’s strategic objectives, the District is looking to vitalize the core commercial area of Main Street in a holistic manner, by addressing any development supportive infrastructure upgrades to support densities prescribed in the OCP, and a form & character reconstruction of the public municipal and Provincial assets within the public right-of-way; including but not limited to, sidewalks, roads, street lighting, street trees, irrigation, and other ornamental and gateway features.

The intended outcome of this project is to have a realistic and actionable Downtown Vitalization and Infrastructure Plan relevant to the economic development needs of Lillooet and the communities it serves. The intent of the final product is to be a modular document with smaller achievable projects that can be completed by a community with limited financial resources but undertaken in a structured and holistic way to avoid duplication of work. Modules may be “shovel ready” projects that can act as grant applications, or “next steps” documents that detail what additional work and/or studies should be completed before development of a work plan/construction document.
