Description
The project scope includes the following:
- Decommissioning 700 metres of the existing 600mm OD concrete and steel watermain from the north side of Shawatlan River to the existing underwater crossing of Fern Passage.
- Demolition and removal/disposal of approximately 300 metres of existing 600 mm concrete water main. Remainder to be decommissioned in place.
- Supplying, installing, and commissioning of new 762 mm OD HDPE water main
- Demolition and removal of superstructure and portions of substructure of existing pedestrian/pipe bridge crossing Shawatlan River.
- Installation of new bridge crossing complete with pipe, crossing the Shawatlan River
- Construction of one precast and one cast in place isolation valve chamber and construction of air release valve manhole.
- Supply and installation of electrical conduit, perforated subdrains, and culverts.
- Delivery of all equipment and materials to, and construction of the works on, the tidally restricted project location.
- Coordination of the work with the construction of the Fern Passage submarine water crossing.
- Comply with requirements of Archaeological Report and Environmental Management Plan.
A site meeting to review the proposed works and location of tender will be held at The City of Prince Rupert City Hall at 11:00 am on Thursday June 13th. Tenderers are requested to RSVP with L&M Engineering their attendance 2 days in advance of the site meeting.
