Description
The Board of Education of School District No. 61 (Greater Victoria) (the “Owner”) invites offers from General Contractors for the Construction of the new two-story Cedar Hill Middle School located at 3910 Cedar Hill Road, Victoria, B.C., and to undertake the installation of a geothermal field and the demolition of the existing building upon completion of construction of the new school.  The current school will remain occupied during the construction of the new school.

An optional site meeting will start promptly at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Cedar Hill Middle School.  Contractors are strongly encouraged to visit the site and familiarize and be satisfied with the site conditions.

Use of BidCentral Online Bidding for Subcontractors (BOBS) is required for:

•            Electrical
•            Mechanical
•            Structural Steel

For Bid Depository purposes, the School District requires to use the BidCentral Online Bidding for Subcontractors in accordance with the “BOBS Rules of Procedure” (including bonding unless identified otherwise).  Trade Contractors for thescope noted herein are required to submit subcontract Bids through the BOBS system no later than 3:00:00 p.m. two (2) business days prior to the closing date of this Tender.

Bids will be received until July 20, 2023, at 3:00:00 p.m. local time.

The Greater Victoria School District reserves the right to reject any or all submissions. Bids which contain qualifying conditions or otherwise fail to conform to the Request for Tender documents may be disqualified or rejected.
