    Description
    Forest Investment and Reporting Branch (FIRB) is interested in purchasing wildstand seed for the following tree species and BEC zones.

    For the Pli – would prefer the IDF mw2 but mostly looking for seed that can go into the IDF dk1 and dk3.
    For the Py – unknown crop volume this year.

    Contractors that would like to collect the tree seed indicated in the above table must contact Sara Lazaruk at the following email address, Sara.Lazaruk@gov.bc.ca
    A description of any seed collection sites, species and price/kg must be 
    provided along with the company resume outlining seed collection experience. 
    A purchase agreement 
    may be entered into with FIRB and the contractor.  
    The Chief Foresters Standards for Seed Use must be adhered to. 

    The contractor will be paid once the seed is extracted, cleaned and registered. 
    An interim payment may be negotiated that could 
    occur once the cones are delivered to the Tree Seed Centre (or other extraction facility).   
    It is the collector’s responsibility to 
    confirm the processing capacity & policies of the processing facility prior to starting the collection.
