Description
The Province invites interested organizations able to provide Group Lodging services (the “Services”) in one or more areas of British Columbia, often at very short notice, to submit Responses to qualify for a Corporate Supply Arrangement – Closed Framework with the Province, on substantially the terms and conditions set out in Schedule A.
The impact of an emergency on community(ies), the limited resources within an affected community, or other considerations in the event of an emergency may necessitate the activation of Group Lodging services, which includes the provision of a congregate care facility or venue for the lodging of evacuees. A group lodging facility (“Facility”) may include facilities adapted to group lodging requirements, including public or private facilities that are used for short-term or long-term living purposes, as well as those that are not normally used for shortterm or long-term living purposes, but that can be adapted to provide shelter style or other types of accommodations for evacuees.
Under this CSA, the Contractor is offering the following group lodging services and may be engaged by a Purchaser through a Service Request or Order. The specific services required by the Purchaser will be outlined in the applicable Service Request or Order.
The Province is seeking an organization/company that can coordinate all aspects of Group Lodging, including coordination of the most suitable emergency accommodation facilities, security, food and hygiene services and other supports for evacuees.
Due to the nature of emergency management in British Columbia, the Services are required on an as, if and when requested basis, often with very short notice (24-48 hours) and with limited time to mobilize a facility (3 days on average). Suppliers with experience providing the Services, and the ability to provide the Services in one or more areas of British Columbia, are encouraged to apply.
The CSA term is anticipated to be for an initial term of twelve months, with an option for the Province to extend the CSA for up to three additional one-year periods.
CSAs and any resulting Orders for the Services will be entered into with successful Respondents. Purchasers reserve the right to confirm the experience and qualifications of subcontractors proposed to deliver the Services before an Order is executed.
The Province is seeking to qualify Respondents under this RCSA to enter a Corporate Supply Arrangement - Closed Framework with the Province, which will govern access to Services, as described in section 4 of this RCSA.
