Description
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is moving forward with the Belleville Terminal Redevelopment Project in Victoria, British Columbia. The Project is located on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen People, also known today as the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations.
The Project is being undertaken in two phases. Phase I of the Project involves the construction of certain temporary in-water and on-land enabling work which, once completed, will allow the Belleville Terminal to continue operations throughout the construction of the main terminal during Phase II of the Project. Phase II will utilize a design-build procurement and project delivery model and generally includes demolishing some of the existing onsite facilities at the Belleville International Ferry Terminal and building a new consolidated pre-clearance terminal on the existing site.
The Ministry is seeking to procure an Owner's Engineer to support Phase II of the Belleville Terminal Redevelopment Project. The Owner intends to retain the Owner’s Engineer for both procurement and implementation components of Phase II. The engagement for Phase II is expected to be effective from 2023 until 2028.
