1.1 Invitation
Vancouver Coastal Health (“VCH”) invites expression of interest from persons interested in providing
modular construction services to VCH for new healthcare construction projects (the “Project”).
A market sounding exercise will take place with a number of selected vendors, based on those who respond
to this RFEI. Individual meetings with selected vendors will follow the format of the questionnaire attached.
This RFEI is intended to determine whether there is sufficient market interest to proceed to a competitive
bidding process for proposed projects. In the event there is sufficient interest in this requirement, VCH
may, but is not obligated to, initiate a competitive bidding opportunity.
1.2 Project Overview
VCH delivers care to residents living in Vancouver, the North Shore, Richmond, the Sea-to-Sky corridor,
Sunshine Coast and the Central Coast. VCH is exploring opportunities in modular construction for the
delivery of new healthcare construction projects across the aforementioned locations in the following
healthcare settings:
- Acute care (trauma rooms, inpatient rooms, MDRD, lab, pharmacy)
- Long-term care
- Staff Housing
- Other clinical settings
