    Description
Notice is hereby given that the Province of British Columbia, as represented by the Ministry of Ministry of Agriculture and Food is contemplating making a direct award of two separate contracts to The Partnership for Water Sustainability of British Columbia (PWSBC) (the “Supplier”).
The high-level details of the contemplated contracts are generally described below.
    1. Agricultural Land Use Inventories (ALUI) collect consistent, credible, and comprehensive data about land use and land cover on agricultural lands across the province. Since 2007, ALUIs have been measuring farmland utilization and non-agricultural uses in the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) and changes in land use patterns and practices over time.
    2. The Agriculture Water Demand Model (AWDM) is owned by the Supplier. The AWDM is a computer model to scientifically estimate current and future agricultural water demands across the province. The AWDM is customized for each area to reflect climatic and geographical differences specific to the area. It acquires and compiles data to specifications required, including but not limited to ALUI, soils, climate (historical and predictive), water licences, and purveyor areas. Since 2006, the AWDM has been producing water demand data and developing publishable AWDM summary reports to estimate the water needs for agriculture. The contract that is being contemplated for direct award will begin transfer of ownership of the AWDM to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

    Contract duration

The estimated contract period will be 24 month(s).
