Description
The Ministry of Forests (“Ministry”) will produce a Predictive Forest Inventory (“PFI”) over a select area within the Interior Douglas Fir (“IDF”) Biogeoclimatic Ecosystem Classification Zone (“BEC”). The Ministry has determined that new VRI polygon delineation created through the interpretation of digital frame aerial imagery is required for the Project Area.
The Contractor is responsible for completing the delineation of 638,381 hectares (ha) or 41.4 Full Mapsheet Equivalents (“FME”), at 15,420 ha/FME, which includes the integration of RESULTS polygons, as defined in the VRI Photo Interpretation Procedures Manual.
The Ministry strongly recommends Proponents review the Ministry supplied Data package posted at the website link below to provide an informed Proposal. The Data Package includes the following:
  • IDF Project Area spatial layer (.shp)
  • IDF Project RESULTS data (.mdb)
  • IDF Project Area boundary in Google Earth format (i.e. KMZ file)
