Closing date and time 2023/09/07 02:45 EDT

    Description
The Ministry of Forests, in collaboration with the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship and the Ministry of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, have launched a professional development program for North Area regional operations staff that are involved in complex, natural resource management work.
The Collaborative Leadership Program (CLP) is built on the principles of adult learning to support learner's professional development goals through experiential learning opportunities, formal training, peer learning (social learning cohort sessions), and mentorship relationships.
    The program specializes in:
    • Building effective external engagement skills
    • Negotiating and resolving conflict on the land base
    • Co-Management with Indigenous Nations
    • Leading collaboratively

The program is in its second year with an initial cohort of approximately 30 participants from across the regional operations division of the ministries’ north area. Cohorts move through the program together over 15 months, focusing on the specialization areas in a semester-style format. It is envisioned that new cohorts will be admitted on an annual basis and run concurrently with existing cohorts.
With support from a contractor, the program will build strategic capacity in the program participants and ultimately the organization to better serve the interests of government and its relationships with stakeholders, communities, and Indigenous people. This contract will be co-funded by the Ministry of Forests and the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship.

    Contract duration

The estimated contract period will be 7 month(s).
