Description
The District of Houston is seeking proposals from individuals interested and engaged in emergency management who have good communication skills, are critical thinkers, and display cultural and environmental awareness to provide Emergency Program Coordinator services for the District of Houston. While preference will be given to candidates with an Associate Certificate in Emergency Management as well as an Exercise Design Certificate through the Justice Institute of British Columbia, training will be provided for the successful candidate to obtain such certification within the first year of this contract. The District of Houston will enhance emergency preparedness and response efforts within the community. To achieve this, the District will hire a contracted Emergency Program Coordinator (EPC) who will play a pivotal role in developing comprehensive emergency preparedness tools and resources for visitors, residents, and business owners in and around Houston. The expected time to complete this project is thirty-six (36) months, full time in year 1 and part time in years 2 and 3. The District anticipates cost submissions for these services will be less than $175,000.
