Lonsdale Energy Corp. (LEC) is requesting responses to this Request for Proposal for creating a thermohydraulic model for the LEC District Energy System (DES) (hot water and chilled water) including
recommendations for procurement of a thermo-hydraulic modelling software licence. High-level details of the LEC DES are as follows:

- Approximately 14 km of hot water and chilled water distribution pipe systems (DPS) connecting 107 buildings with approx. 7,400 residents/end-users.
- The DPS consists of pre-insulated EN253 shallow buried pipes with parallel supply and return pipes, currently ranging in size from 3” to 8”.
- The DPS is connecting the 107 buildings via heat exchangers, or Energy Transfer Stations (ETS), in each building throughout the City of North Vancouver.
- Hot water supply temp is in the range of 65 – 85 °C (lower during summer and higher during winter).
- Additionally, LEC operates two small district cooling systems, providing cooling for commercial buildings via Heat Recovery Chillers.
