    Description
    The Ministry of Citizens’ Services Corporate Information and Records Management's Information Access Operations (IAO) is committed to modernize the process to manage the thousands of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests received annually.

    The FOI Modernization project is improving Freedom of Information (FOI) services to applicants and ministries by:

    • Developing a common platform that will increase efficiencies with innovative tools, and;
    • Improving the applicant experience with reduced response times.

    The agile project team is entering into year four of the project.

    IAO is seeking technical resources, including a solutions architect, full stack developers, QA automation and UX designer/researcher to assist in its FOI Modernization Project. When they are working on the project, it is expected that all resources will be allocated full-time to the project; however, not all resources may be on the project for the entire 12 month-term.

    The successful proponent resources will be expected to work as part of a larger SCRUM team and contribute towards "sprint goals" set on regular intervals. The successful proponent should also work well as part of a larger, self-organizing team that works on the principles of continuous improvement and continuous delivery.

    The full-time solutions architect will act as the lead full stack developer and solutions architect. Full-stack development work will be specific to coding and programming related activities and will include work on processes such as automation of test suites. UX designer work will include UX research and design.
