    The Cowichan Valley Regional District (the “CVRD”) invites expressions of interest for acquisition of the World’s Largest Hockey Stick (“the Stick”), currently located at the Cowichan Community Centre, 2687 James St, Duncan, BC V9L 2X5, which is owned and operated by the CVRD.

     This Expression of Interest is being issued to ensure the World’s Largest Hockey Stick and Puck (the Stick) is disposed of in accordance with the CVRD’s Capital Asset Disposal Policy (1999) and per the November 30, 2023 resolution of the Cowichan Core Recreation Commission approving the decommissioning and offering of the Stick to the public.
     Proposals from public, non-profit, and private entities may be submitted to acquire the Stick in as-is, where-is condition and removed from the site in a manner agreeable to the CVRD. Alternative and creative proposals will be considered and all complete proposals will be evaluated by the Cowichan Core Recreation Commission based on general evaluation criteria.
