Brief Description of Work:
BC Housing is seeking Prime Consultant/Architectural Services for a Group Home Renovation project located at 731 Nicholls Rd, Campbell River.
The Property:
A 7-bedroom 4,616 square foot single family dwelling located in Campbell River was acquired by the Provincial Rental Housing Corporation on behalf of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (IH) for the purpose of converting it to a detox centre for 6 individuals. It is anticipated that some of the residents will have accessibility needs. Renovations are required to change layout as outlined below and make spaces accessible, as well as coordinate sprinkler designs and other life safety provisions. The architect will work with BC Housing and Vancouver Island Health Authority on designing a plan for the layout conversion, apply for necessary permits to Authority Having Jurisdiction, assist with tendering and provide services during construction and post-construction phases. The home will require other minor exterior and interior renovations, the scope for which will be prepared by BC Housing and Vancouver Island Health Authority.
