    Project Overview:
    Altac Mechanical has been awarded the Brennan Park Rec Center revitalization project. As part of this project we are looking to upgrade the buildings existing mechanical systems. We have decided to build an external mechanical room to provide additional space to upgrade the buildings heating and cooling systems from RTUs to Heating and Chilled, 4 pipe fan coils. In order to achieve this we need to utilize the Arena Refrigeration system to provide additional heating to our system. This tender is closing on June 6, at 2:00 PST. Please forward any RFI’s to brent@altacmechanical.com. RFI cut off is June 3, at 4:00pm PST. Please submit you quotes via email to brent@altacmechanical.com.

    We will hold a site walk through on Thursday May 30th, 10:00am 1009 Centennial Way Squamish BC. Meet in site the front entrance.

    Project Scope:
    1. Upgrade the existing ice plant system to incorporate heat recovery heat exchangers for ammonia and compressor cooling heat rejection.
    2. Work shall take place during the arena shut down (June 1, 2024 to August 9th, 2024) For the main installation.
    1. Additionally we will need to allow for the system to be fully commissioned June 1, 2025 to August 9, 2025

    a. System final commissioning to take place in July of 2025.

    b. Warranty shall be extended to one year after system commissioning in 2025.3. The system shall keep the existing outdoor evaporative condenser as a failsafe/backup heat rejection system. The system shall automatically changeover to the outdoor heat rejection system if the heat recovery heat exchangers are not providing adequate cooling. This changeover shall also be commanded by BMS (controls work/integration to be completed by others). The changeover shall be manually resettable via local switch and/or BMS.
    4. Scope of work shall be restricted to within the refrigeration plant only.
    5. The scope shall include all refrigeration plant engineering and design completed by a licenses professional engineer in the province of British Columbia.
    6. The scope shall also include all seismic restraints and design completed by a licenses professional engineer in the province of British Columbia.
    7. For all delegated engineering work provide signed and sealed building permit drawings, Schedule B, and Schedule C-B.
    8. Assist building owner with TSBC operation permit update.
