The Ministry of Forests is looking to complete a Wildfire Risk Reduction treatment adjacent to the
Red Creek subdivision to meet specific wildfire behaviour objectives. The services required for
this project include, but are not limited to:
• Removing hazardous trees and windthrown trees;
• Reducing woody debris and other fuels on the forest floor by piling, chipping, burning and/or
hauling; and
• Mechanical methods to break up fuel continuity.
The treatment area is five polygons totalling approximately 37 hectares. The polygons are broken up
into two sections. There are 3 polygons north of the Red Creek community and 2 polygons south of
the Red Creek community. The contract includes an option to renew. If timing prohibits completing
the north and south sections by February 29, 2025, the contract may be renewed for the following
fiscal year to
complete the other section.
