The maximum value of this contract extension will be $350,000 plus tax. FH has chosen not to complete a Request for Proposal (RFP) process but extend the contract for the following reasons:
- Make Projects Ltd. has worked with the existing stakeholder group at FH and the RCHRP Project Team for the last 2 years as one of the key Consultants supporting the delivery of the Project, particularly in relation to Change Control management and Electrical/Integration services.
- Make Projects Ltd. possesses pre-existing detailed understanding of current project conditions. Understanding that will not be easily and timely transferred to another party.
- Greater efficiencies for the Owner can be realized as there will be no need to a transition period and familiarization with the scope. Time is of the essence at this final stage of the Project.
- The approach mitigates the schedule risk and potential negative impacts to Substantial Completion of the Project.
