The purpose of this work is to develop a baseline of the fiscal environment for a critical minerals mining in BC, identify barriers to attracting investment, and recommend next steps to mitigate those barriers, as well as potential fiscal measures for the operating and upcoming critical mineral mines in BC. Fiscal supports for First Nations partnership and participation in the critical minerals sector will be reviewed in the assessment through the lens of both operating and upcoming critical mineral mines in BC.
