BCNET, a not-for-profit shared services organization representing the interests of the public Post Secondary sector, colleges, universities, and research institutes, in British Columbia. Background:
The intention of the RFP is to select a qualified Proponent for the BCNET Members during the term of the Master Agreement for the provision of the EMRO. In addition, to identify a qualified Proponent with strong presence, reputation, and established distribution network at each of the four (4) geographical locations in British Columbia.
This RFP is open to the Proponents who have demonstrated experience and expertise in the EMRO. Additionally, have capabilities to offer Members services that can be customized to meet the unique needs of each Member. The selected Proponent is expected to work closely with BCNET and its Members to set and manage the product and service standards.
Objective:
BCNET is issuing this RFP on behalf of its members to secure EMRO. The RFP aims to identify a qualified Proponent:
- To provide and have capability and experience to supply a wide range of quality EMRO efficiently and cost-effectively;
- To lower acquisition and administrative costs through efficient and streamlined transaction processes;
- To leverage aggregate spend to lower and contain unit costs;.
- To provide Members with knowledgeable and responsive customer support and account management;
- To work in a cooperative manner with Members, be responsive and innovative in supply of EMRO;
- To support sustainability by providing Members with environmentally friendly alternatives..
- Nature of RFP Process: This is a negotiated RFP, not a legally binding tender, and does not create a formal bidding contract.
- Term of Agreement: The initial term is five (5) years, with an option to extend for one (1) additional five-year term and up to six (6) additional months on a month-to-month basis.
This notice does not:
- Commit BCNET to issue any procurement invitations;
- Restrict BCNET to any particular procurement approach for any project listed;
- Provide a complete list of upcoming BCNET procurement opportunities;
- Constitute a call for tenders or proposals;
- Create any contractual or other legal obligations owed to any potential supplier by BCNET.
