Description
This Request for Tender is being issued by the Vancouver Island Health Authority (“Island Health”) as it is seeking tenders from qualified bidders to complete a domestic hot water system upgrade at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital located at 2166 Mt. Newton X Road, Saanichton, BC, (“the Project.”)
This project will replace end-of-life storage tanks and gas fired boiler serving domestic hot water at the hospital. The old tanks are inefficient and prone to failure given their age. Redundant piping in the boiler room will also be removed to simplify the system. New storage tanks, new high efficiency gas-fired boilers and new pumps will be installed and commissioned. BAS controls will be upgraded to fit new equipment. The scope includes hazardous materials abatement.
Island Health is looking for a mechanical contractor to perform the role of prime contractor. The mechanical contractor should carry all subcontractors including but not limited to electrical and abatement.
