Notice of Intent to Direct AwardIssued: December 15, 2023File # 2020-650NOI Title: Veolia Polymer PolyflocCapital Regional DistrictNotice is hereby given that Capital Regional District (the “CRD”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide Polymer Polyfloc AE1702 for the McLoughlin Point Wastewater Treatment Plant (MPWWTP) for a term of up to two (2) years or until current testing outperforms the existing product to optimize plant performance. Until testing and product performance is satisfactorily complete, the estimated value is unknown as this is a proprietary flocculant and amounts are based on use and cannot be quantified. Prior annual spend was approximately $368,550.00.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, CRD has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
- the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or
(a) to ensure compatibility with existing products/systems(b) due to an absence of competition for technical reasons
