The University of British Columbia (UBC) is inviting interested parties to participate in the procurement process for the provision of Architect & Consultant Team for renovation of the following rooms: EOS 101, 105, 107 & SPPH 369.
Below is more detailed Information about the work:
- School for Population and Public Health Building rooms #369, 369A, 369B, 369C
2. Optimize acoustic performance of the classroom to achieve required acoustic ratings.
3. Ensure accessibility for students.
4. Remove and replace flooring with washable flooring
5. New storage cabinets, tables, and chairs
6. Ensure existing lighting system is sufficient for the new spaces, provides appropriate
color temperatures, is energy efficient and provide ease of maintenance.
7. Ensure HVAC system is adequate for ventilation requirements for each of the new spaces
8. Ensure adequate power and lighting in all spaces
9. Provide handwash sink w/ eyewash station, soap dispenser and power towel holder
10. Other options to consider if viable within project budget:
- Earth and Oceans Sciences Building rooms #101,105,107 - would like to capitalize on the benefits of active learning and the physical space must support and enhance the pedagogies employed in the classroom.
2. Removal and replacement of floors and ceiling tiles
3. Upgrading of lighting
4. Refinish existing tables
5. New power and data tables and adjustable height stools
6. New shelving to store microscopes and rock samples
7. Incorporate new audio-visual systems that enhance the teaching/learning experience that are accessible for servicing and maintenance
8. Ensure HVAC system is adequate for ventilation requirements for each of the new spaces
9. Other options to consider if viable within project budget:
