Invitation:
The Corporations of The City of Penticton, District of Summerland, Town of Oliver, Town of Osoyoos, and Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen, collectively referred to as the Participants (“the Participants”), request the submission of Proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to provide Automated Collection Services for residential Garbage, Recycling, Yard Waste, and Mixed Food and Yard Waste, and Manual Collection Services of unlimited Yard Waste and Large Items.
Optionally, Respondents may provide pricing for Semi-Automated Collection Services for residential Garbage, Recycling, Yard Waste, and Mixed Food and Yard Waste, and Manual Collection Services of unlimited Yard Waste and Large Items, for a portion of the Participants.

The RFP documents set out:
To be considered, Proposals must be submitted via the City of Penticton’s Bonfire portal, available at https://penticton.bonfirehub.ca/portal, in accordance with the instructions in the RFP. Proposals must be received no later than the RFP Closing Date and Time. It is solely the responsibility of the Respondent to ensure that the Proposal is received on time. There will be no public opening.

Addenda:
It is the respondent’s responsibility to check the portal for addenda(s). Only the successful bidder shall be notified, but inquiries are welcome. Results of award may be found at https://www.penticton.ca/business-building/bid-opportunities/open-bid-opportunities
Term of Engagement:
The majority of the Collection Services are to commence on July 1, 2025, and continue for a period of seven (7) years, with one (1) one (1) year option to renew.
Each of the five (5) Participants intend to enter into individual Agreements with the Preferred Respondent, as detailed in Part C of the RFP. Please refer to the RFP documents for more information.
