Description
The Government of British Columbia (The Province) is modernizing Land Use Planning (LUP) to ensure responsible stewardship and management of land and resources . The modernization of LUP involves partnerships with First Nations, collaboration with local governments, and extensive engagement with industry, communities, interest holders, and the public. The Provincial Stewardship Strategies and Planning Branch (PSSP) LUP Policy Team is updating provincial policy, guidance, and communication materials to reflect these priorities. The PSSP LUP Policy Team is seeking the assistance of a Contractor to support this work.
Specifically, the Contractor will be responsible for:

- Leading/supporting the development of policy, guidance, and communication materials on subjects related to initiating, developing, and implementing land use plans.
- Leading/supporting the internal and external engagement required to build out policies, guidance, and communication materials in an inclusive and transparent manner.
- Providing editorial review of policies, guidance, and communication materials developed by PSSP’s LUP Policy Team.
- Leading/supporting the development of training modules to communicate the concepts embedded in new policies and guidance to a broad audience.
- Collaborating with the PSSP LUP Policy Team to ensure the work progresses in manner consistent with Province’s mandates and objectives.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 6 month(s).
