Description
Notice is hereby given that the Ministry of Agriculture and Food is contemplating making a direct award of a contract to CleanFARMS Ltd. (the “Supplier”).
This project aims to develop an effective method for collecting and recycling agricultural plastics predominantly used in the dairy and livestock sectors, utilizing on-farm compactors. Farm operations rely on a wide array of single-use plastic products, including but not limited to bale wrap and twine, silage wrap, mulch, and seedling trays. However, many regions lack proper recycling or stewardship programs, leading to environmental issues due to landfilling or improper disposal methods, such as burning. By creating a structured recycling initiative, the goal is to mitigate these issues and promote sustainable practices within the agricultural community.
