Description
The Ministry provides a range of services that move people into sustainable employment and assist individuals and families in need to help British Columbians achieve their full economic and social potential. This RFP opportunity involves the delivery of social services in relation to employment and assistance provided by the Ministry under the Employment and Assistance Act or Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Act. The Contractor will provide the services described in the RFP, which the Ministry refers to as “trusted third party administrator” assistance, to individuals who are Inquirers, Applicants, Recipients or Dependent Children of Applicants or Recipients (see definitions). The RFP Services involve Contractors connecting these individuals to multiple social services in a neutral, non-threatening one-stop center environment (a Contractor office) maintained by the Contractor and fostering integration into their communities.
Contractors will be required to deliver services from the Contractor’s office, which is required to be located central to the area where the Contractor is delivering services, to persons who self-refer, are referred by the Ministry, or are referred by other community agencies in accordance with the service specifications outlined in section 4 of the RFP.
The Ministry is seeking Proposals from vendors who can deliver Services in Parksville, British Columbia and the surrounding area.
The estimated number of Recipients, currently served by the Ministry in Parksville, British Columbia and the surrounding area is 1,600. However, the Province gives no guarantee to Proponents about the numbers of Recipients, including Spouses who will reside in Parksville and the surrounding area during the term of the Contract. In addition, the Province provides no assurances to Proponents about the numbers of Inquirers, Applicants, or Recipients, from Parksville and the surrounding area that will request or require services from the Contractor under the Contract during the term of the Contract or in any calendar month during the term of the Contract.
The Ministry’s budget for trusted third party administration of Assistance in the Service Area is $1,558.94 per calendar month.
