Description
The work generally consists of the following:
• Install approx. 850m of watermain (300mm diameter, 250mm diameter, 200mm diameter, 150mm diameter) and appurtenances (fire hydrants, flushouts and air releases)
• Install above ground meter/DCVA/PRV kiosk w/ power
• Install watermain stubs for future connections
• Install water services for future connections
• Install driveway culverts, road crossing culverts and swales
• Road restoration of Boys Road
Tender documents are available for downloading from BC Bid at no charge.
Hard copies of the tender documents, amendments and other information are available to be picked up at the offices of Chatwin Engineering Ltd. in person during the normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. Please provide 24hrs notice to Chatwin Engineering Ltd. if picking up documents by calling 250 753 9171. On payment of a non-refundable amount of $305.00 including GST payable to: Chatwin Engineering Ltd.
Each tender must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cheque of 10% of the tender price made payable to the Cowichan Tribes. A consent of surety confirming a labour and material bond and a performance bond each in the amount of 50% of the total tender sum will be required.
A general contractors’ registry will be maintained during this tender period at the offices of Chatwin Engineering for the purpose of supplier enquiries. General contractors wishing to bid on this contract are to notify Chatwin Engineering to be placed on the General Contractors Registry for this project by emailing Gary Hall at gary@chatwinengineering.com.
