Fraser Health Authority (FH) intends to extend the Agreement for Professional Engineering Consultant Services for the above noted project with Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. as per the following:
The additional contract value is $25,000.00 with $43,000.00 completed for the maximum contract value of $68,000.00 plus tax. FH has chosen not to complete a public tendering process but negotiate the contemplated contract for the following reasons:
• Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd is a pre-qualified Professional Engineering firm (Structural) for Acute & Non-Acute Care Projects over $5M and was awarded this contract via DA15140 on May 16, 2024.
• Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. is currently working in a satisfactory and efficient manner with the Burnaby Hospital (BUH) FMO team.
• Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. has extensive knowledge of Burnaby Hospital site, including the parkade.
• The propriety nature and copyright of the Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. design works and the continuity of the project precludes splitting the consultancy into two separate vendors via a QR process at this late stage in the project.
• Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. are able to sign off for required inspections and provide guarantees related to the work completed.

Provide proof showing your experience related to the requirements defined in this Notice of Intent. Only challenges from qualified consulting firms will be reviewed.
