Description
The City of Campbell River (“the City”) is issuing this Request for Quote (RFQ) to select a qualified prime contractor for the execution of hazardous materials abatement, demolition and removal of multiple structures located in the 1300-block of Shoppers Row. This contract will be structured as a stipulated price agreement, inclusive of all labour, equipment, materials, disposal fees, environmental compliance costs, and incidentals necessary to execute the full scope of work as described herein.
The place of work includes 1302 Shoppers Row, 1342 Shoppers Row, 1352 Shoppers Row (vacant lot), and 1362 16th Avenue (optional work TBD), Campbell River, British Columbia.
The scope of work under this contract includes hazardous materials abatement, demolition, removal, and disposal of all structures to prepare the land for redevelopment. The work must be completed in compliance with all applicable municipal, provincial, and federal regulations, including but not limited to WorkSafeBC, the BC Contaminated Sites Regulation (CSR), and the Heritage Conservation Act (HCA).
A Mandatory Site Meeting will be held on Tuesday April 29th, 2025, at 1:00p.m. at 1302 Shoppers Row (Downtown Safety Office), Campbell River, BC. Proponents are requested to have reviewed the documents prior to the meeting and to wear appropriate safety gear. All questions are to be submitted after the site meeting in writing for an official response.
