    Description
    BC Parks is inviting proposals to implement prescribed wildfire risk reduction hand treatments (with machine assistance, if proposed) in 60.3 hectares of Dragon Mountain Park over a 4-year contract term, with 13-18 hectares of treatment per year (subject to funding). More hectares of treatment per year may be completed subject to funding. The first year of treatment is intended to be TU2C - 13.9 hectares of treatment.
    The objective of treatment is to reduce the risk of wildfire to critical infrastructure within and outside the park, as well as the park’s natural, cultural, and recreation values.
    The services required include but are not limited to: tree thinning and pruning by hand, surface fuel reduction, and treatment debris disposal by pile burning (completed concurrently with treatment where conditions allow) or other methods that are proposed. Qualified professional bird surveys may be required to be completed by the contractor if works occur during the restricted bird window.
