for C289-00 New Surrey Hospital & BC Cancer Centre Project

Fraser Health (FH) intends to extend the contract with EXP Services Inc. for geotechnical engineering consultant services for the New Surrey Hospital & BC Cancer Centre (NSHBCCC) Project.  The specific phases are; Phase 4 – Design & Construction.
The additional contract value is $10,000 with $170,000 completed for the maximum contract value of $180,000 - plus tax. FH has chosen not to complete a Request for Proposal (RFP) process but negotiate the contemplated contract for the following reasons:
 
  • EXP Services Inc. has been providing geotechnical engineering consulting services for the project since April 2023.
     
  • EXP Services Inc. has established working relationships with the NSHBCCC project team and the Design Builder's team, including its geotechnical engineers. 
  • EXP Services Inc. has extensive knowledge of geotechnical conditions at the NSHBCCC project site. 
  • EXP Services Inc. has already completed a preceding scope of work with significant relevance to ongoing activities. This includes reviewing the Design Builder’s geotechnical reports and design submissions and providing comments accordingly. Part of this additional scope will be to see the issues raised through to resolution. 
  • EXP Services Inc. maintains a seniority level: Expert, as required by the project.  
  • EXP Services Inc. resources include professional geotechnical engineers.

    Provide proof showing your experience related to the requirements defined in this Notice of Intent. Only challenges from qualified Consulting firms will be reviewed.
