Description
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food (the Ministry), in collaboration with the BC Farm Industry Review Board (BCFIRB), invites qualified individuals or firms to provide expert consulting services in relation to a complaint under the Farm Practices Protection (Right to Farm) Act (Act). The complaint concerns noise associated with a chick disposal system at a poultry operation in the Fraser Valley region. The consultant will act as a “knowledgeable person” under Section 4 of the Act and provide a confidential report to assist in potential settlement discussions and, if necessary, be present in person to serve as opinion evidence in a hearing before a BCFIRB Panel.
