Sealed tenders clearly marked “Klahoose First Nation - Wastewater System Improvements: Contract No.1 - Inflow and Infiltration Reduction - ICMS 122282” will be received by Chatwin Engineering Ltd., 1614 Morey Road, Nanaimo, BC V9S 1J7, up until *UPDATE* 11:00am on August 11th, 2025. The tenders will be opened in public at the offices of Chatwin Engineering Ltd.
The work generally consists of the following:
• Remove and replace, or repair, approx. 30 sanitary manholes.
• Remove 200 m of asbestos cement sanitary piping and replace
it with 200 mm dia PVC.
• Remove 220 m of PVC sanitary piping and replace it with PVC
200 mm and 150 mm dia piping.
• Repair or replace sections of existing sanitary service or
sanitary main.
Tender documents are available for downloading from BC Bid at no charge.
Hard copies of the tender documents, amendments and other information are available to be picked up at the offices of Chatwin Engineering Ltd. in person during the normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. Please provide 24hrs notice to Chatwin Engineering Ltd. if picking up documents by calling 250 753 9171. On payment of a non-refundable amount of $305.00 including GST payable to: Chatwin Engineering Ltd.
Each tender must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cheque of 10% of the tender price made payable to the Klahoose First Nation. A consent of surety confirming a labour and material bond and a performance bond each in the amount of 50% of the total tender sum will be required.
A general contractors’ registry will be maintained during this tender period at the offices of Chatwin Engineering for the purpose of supplier enquiries. General contractors wishing to bid on this contract are to notify Chatwin Engineering to be placed on the General Contractors Registry for this project by emailing Gary Hall at gary@chatwinengineering.com.
