Description
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy (Ministry) intends to increase capacity to respond to mass animal mortality events, as a result of flood, fire, extreme heat, animal diseases, or other emergencies. This Request for Qualifications is intended to help identify qualified professionals that can support burial of animal carcasses during an event.
Burial is often a viable, efficient, and protective way of managing animal carcasses, particularly when other disposal options such as composting or landfill are limited. However, burial of large volumes of mortalities requires support and direction of qualified professionals (QP) to mitigate risks to human health and the environment.
