This is a 2-part RFP comprised of:
The purpose of the Website Re-Design project is to update Tourism Vernon’s website with a new design and backend website content management system. The last major redesign of the Tourism Vernon website took place in 2015. Since then, much has changed in the architecture of Content management System (CMS), as well as the design, user-experience and functionality of tourism focused websites. The current Tourism Vernon website is using the CMS iCreate and we have five users including staff and contractors.
The goal for Tourism Vernon is to have a website with enhanced mobile compatibility, house high quality videos and photos, along with integrated business directory and chat functionality. Tourism Vernon is requesting proposals from vendors specializing in web design services able to meet the requirements in this document for Tourism Vernon’s new website.
Tourism Vernon is a Destination Management Organization that provides inspiration, information and trip planning resources for visitors seeking to vacation in Vernon. Tourism Vernon is responsible for marketing our city and all of the products, experiences and activities Vernon has to offer. Tourism Vernon operates as a part of the City of Vernon. Tourismvernon.com receives approximately 200,000 user visits and 400,000 page views per year.
NOTE: The website MUST be hosted in Canada by a Canadian Company, this is non-negotiable. The selected contractor MUST meet guidelines for Canadian Anti-Spam Law (CASL), BC’s and Canada’s Privacy acts for data collection compliance.
