Description
The purpose of this Request for Expressions of Interest (“RFEI”) is to invite qualified individuals, organizations, partnerships, and legal entities to submit responses indicating their interest and qualifications to lead inclusive social programming for Two-Spirit, Trans, Non-Binary (2STNB) & Allies (LGBTQIA+ ) older adults (55+) across the Greater Victoria Region.
This four-year initiative, funded in part by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program, aims to reduce social isolation and foster community connection through monthly gatherings, annual events, workshops, and online engagement in Westshore, Victoria, Saanich, and the Saanich Peninsula.
Through this RFEI, West Shore Parks and Recreation Society (“WSPR”) seeks to identify respondents with demonstrated experience in community programming, social work, and working with equity-deserving populations within the 2STNB & Allies LGBTQIA+ community.
Based on the responses received, WSPR may invite shortlisted respondents to participate in the next stage of the selection process—the Request for Proposals (“RFP”) stage. Services are expected to begin in January 2026.
Respondents should note that this RFEI does not constitute a call for tenders or bids, and no contractual obligations shall arise between WSPR and any respondent until a written agreement is signed.
