Description
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is seeking qualified consulting firms to provide bridge deck condition survey services for bridge structures throughout British Columbia. This RFQ is the first stage of a two-step process; shortlisted respondents will be invited to submit a full proposal through a subsequent RFP. Up to two (2) Consulting Services Contracts will be awarded as a result.
Services will be provided on an As and When Required basis province-wide across the 2026, 2027, and 2028 fiscal years (April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2029), with a total upset limit of $1,500,000 per contract and one (1) optional one-year extension. No minimum volume of work is guaranteed.
Work includes visual bridge deck and component inspections, chain drag delamination surveys, half-cell potential surveys per ASTM C876, concrete coring, chloride profile testing, and material and laboratory testing. Traffic control and permitting are the Contractor's responsibility.
Respondents must be licensed to do business in BC with Professional Engineers registered with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia. Four (4) firms will be shortlisted to receive the RFP.See RFP for full details.
