    Description
    This Invitation to Tender is being issued by the Health Organization for the selection of General Contractor for Project F527-00 VGH Segal AAC New Reception project. The project includes the selective demolition, renovation, and reconfiguration of Levels 1 and 2 of the Joseph & Rosalie Segal Family Health Centre (JRSFHC) at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) to improve wayfinding for the Access and Assessment Centre (AAC).On Level 1, the AAC reception and waiting area will be relocated to the main entrance lobby. The existing AAC reception and waiting area will be reconfigured into interview rooms. The AAC reception will be expanded, and a permanent security desk will be added in the Lobby.On Level 2, the existing waiting area adjacent to the Level 2 entrance will be reconfigured into a group room. The Level 2 reception footprint will be reduced, with the reclaimed space converted into a client waiting area.The scope of work also includes reconfiguration of existing workstations and modifications to the mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and sprinkler systems serving the affected areas.The ready-for-takeover date is anticipated to be October 23rd, 2026.

     Bidders Site Visit:A mandatory site visit of the proposed work will take place on April 9, 2026, 10:00 AM PST. Attendance is required for key personnel from each Bidder (GC ). Use of Bid Depository:Use of the BidCentral Online Bidding for Subcontractors (BOBS) is required for Mechanical and Electrical subcontractors.For bid depository purposes, FM invites trade contractors (as specified in the List of Subcontractors) to use the BidCentral Online Bidding for Subcontractors (BOBS) in accordance with its Rules of Procedure (including bonding unless identified otherwise). Trade contractors will be invited to submit subcontract bids through the BOBS system no later than 3:00 pm two business days prior to the Closing date of this Tender. To access the BOBS system, please refer to online information at www.bidcentral.ca/bobs.
