Description
• The soil relocation provisions in the Environmental Management Act (EMA) were amended in March 2020 (Bill 3) to streamline requirements and establish a robust and transparent notification system to track details of non-contaminated soil relocations, as well as report on sites receiving high soil volumes across the province. These changes will ensure soil is being relocated appropriately and will improve Ministry of Environment oversight.
• The Scope of the work specific to this Notice of Intent (NOI) in support of the amended legislation is the development of a web-map based, self-serve reporting application for public, Indigenous governments, and proponent use. The application is entitled “Soil Relocation Information System” (SRIS).
• This Notice of Intent is to Direct Award to Vivid Solutions Inc. is to complete the remaining coding, support implementation, ensure continuous improvements are completed, and transition the application to the Ministry.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 12 month(s).
